Subclass 188 investor visa pathway to a subclass 888 permanent resident visa

Australian investor visas offer better security within an investment environment of transparent laws regulated by Australian authorities. These are the subclass 188 visa Investor Stream, Significant Investor Stream and Premium Investor Stream.
Investor Visas
- have a history of investment activity or business
- have legally acquired funds
- invest AUD$1.5M for 4 years with a State or Territory government
- visa is for 4 years and 3 months
- reside in the State or Territory that nominated you for at least 2 of the 4 years while satisfying investment criteria, then apply for a subclass 888 permanent resident visa
- have unencumbered AUD$5M for complying investment of 4 years
- legally acquired funds, can be inheritance or gift
- invest at least AUD$3M in managed funds, AUD$1.5M in approved ASX managed funds and AUD$500,000 in approved venture capital private equity funds
- visa is for 4 years and 3 months
- reside in the State or Territory that nominated you for at least 160 days during the 4-year visa while satisfying investment criteria, then apply for a subclass 888 permanent resident visa (if spouse will apply, reside 720 days in the 4 years)
- have unencumbered AUD$15M for investment or philanthropic contribution (or both)
- visa is for 4 years and 3 months
- hold complying premium investments while on this visa for at least 12 months, then apply for a subclass 888 permanent resident visa
Your application for a subclass 888 visa includes your spouse and dependent children who held the subclass 188. To qualify you must have:
- held the correct subclass 188 for your visa pathway.
- resided in Australia for the required period.
- held the complying investments at least 4 years
- received nomination
